After watching the Jason Reitman-directed film, which premiered on October 11 to honour the 49th anniversary of SNL’s first broadcast, Aykroyd gave rave reviews.

Saturday Night chronicled the behind-the-scenes hustle and chaos that unfolded in the 90 minutes before the inaugural SNL broadcast in 1975.”Cracking a head to applaud Jason Reitman’s triumphant SNL film.
