Bangladesh Victory Over Nepal

Bangladesh clinched victory over Nepal with a 2-1 score in the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 final. Held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu, this thrilling match saw Bangladesh’s Shamsunnahar and Srimoti Krishnarani Sarkar both score to secure their country’s win. Nepal’s Anita Basnet managed to score in the 70th minute, but it wasn’t enough to turn the game around.

This marks Bangladesh’s second SAFF Women’s Championship title, solidifying their growing presence in South Asian women’s football. The win was a disappointment for Nepal, who, despite home support and a strong performance, finished as runners-up once again .
